¿Por qué a los progres se les llama así?

Yo lo que no entiendo es, porque se usa como insulto, entiendo que si alguien llama progre a otro es porque debe ser conservador, por lo que el avance le asusta.

Qué es el progreso? Estamos progresando constantemente, en última instancia es el mero paso del tiempo que es inevitable. Otra cosa es que discutamos hacia dónde queramos progresar, aquí cada uno tendrá su opinión.

Progre es el término despectivo que usan conservadores y liberales para referirse a aquellos autodenominados progresistas que tratan de adueñarse del concepto progreso pretendiendo dotarle de un contenido axiológico, tal y cómo hacen con la moral, para así poder situar sus ideas un peldaño por encima de las de los demás sin tener que presentar ningún argumento.
