#302 Yo de vez en cuando me juego unas arcades, epro es que no hay razon para seguir jugando hasta que no implementen mas historia. Aun asi no es facil el arcade y menos si vas proando spells y demas :P.

A la espera de mas historia + minijuegos pvp de esos de la arena.

The Seasons

This week we’ve kept on working with the Temple of Seasons, adding more rooms and more seasons! Here’s another GIF, from a room with multiple season orbs:

As you can see, depending on what season it is, there will be different obstacles blocking different paths. Will you be able to find your way through the dungeon?! Only time will tell…

In the meanwhile, here’s one of the versions of the lobby, an important room that connects many different parts of the dungeon, that has kept Vilya busy for a while:

#307 Yo lo deje en la dungeon de los regalitos. Habia una maquina de hacer regalos bastante dura. Si alguien se apunta... Pues podemos matarla xDDDDDDDD (Rushee bastante, quizas deberia ir a pillar nivel, no se).

Para los que no conozcan el juego, el juego es genial y esta muy pulido, pero mucho. Se nota mucho el cariño en el juego, el sistema de combate es brutal y demas. Lo malo es que aun hay poco contenido y avanzan muy poco a poco. A ver cuadno actualizan el arcade mode y algunos eventos en la arena o algo.

Weekly Recap 156: An Obstacle Course!

So for anyone that missed it, we kept our promise from two weeks ago and updated the Frontline version of the beta! This updates includes the first part of the Temple of Seasons, including two of the three planned bosses. If you have no idea of who or what the Frontline beta is, head over here for more information.

We are really interested to hear what you guys think about the dungeon so far, in terms of difficulty and just pure entertainment value. It’s easy for us to stare ourselves blind while working on the game each and everyday so your thoughts are highly valued!

So with the first part of the dungeon out of the picture for now, we’ve naturally focused last weeks attention on the second part.
We’ve added graphics and animation to one of the brain teasers you’ll stumble upon which we fittingly dubbed “the water puzzle”. Below is an animated GIF that hopefully covers the basics of how it works.

We also began prototyping a room we’ve elected to call “the obstacle course” (we have a way with names, what can we say!). Like the name implies, the room is supposed to put players through a series of challenges before they can reach the exit.
We’ve tried to mix some combat together with some short but sweet obstacle navigation that players will have to complete in succession.

What sets this room apart from all other rooms in the temple is that all seasons will be active at the same time. This makes the combat encounter especially interesting since all enemies will have access to their special abilities, paving way for some enjoyable chaos!

While the prototype is still in need of some tweeking and adjustment, Vilya went ahead and created the base graphics for the room in all its mixed up glory.

Mount Bloom

Last week, Teddy and Fred spent most of their time working on the Temple of Seasons boss. Vilya, in the meanwhile, jumped over to the next area – Mount Bloom – and started decorating a couple of the caves you’ll be exploring!

This is what the caves looked like before she started (as always, click any of these pictures to view a larger version):

And here’s a bunch of WIPs of the various decorations:

Patch 0.599f

Summary: Winterland, welcome to the game! Hopefully, Seasonne now feels a bit more like a real place in the world. Three quests have been added, as well as all the caves except the third entrance on the leftmost map.

Also, you can now actually beat the Temple of Seasons. With /winterreset, you can gasp reset Winter and fight him again if you want to keep on doing that after he's gone! Now the beta ends at the Collector's HQ like it used to do after Flying Fortress.

Oh, and if you've done Anita's turkey quest, it's been reset so you can get the new reward for completing it!

Additions
A ton more sounds have been added, mostly inside the Temple of Seasons!
No less than three new songs have been added!
The beta now ends at the Collector HQ, meaning you can properly complete the Temple of Seasons
The Winterland (Seasonne + Santa Fae) has been fleshed out with three new quests and some secrets!
The implemented spells now all have their proper header images for the 'More Info' tab
Shadow maps have been added to all rooms with winter knights, making their ice trails less... overlapping
You can now get a new pet! It's harder to catch than the Jumpkin, but the Jumpkin has been made easier
A bunch of new items have been added and placed in chests in Seasonne and Temple of Seasons

Changes
The hurtbox on thorns have been adjusted slightly to better match the visuals
Frosty Friend now gains a short window of invincibility upon taking damage
Floor 12 in Arcade Mode will now always feature Winter as a boss (sorry)
The Frostling Boss has made a triumphant return to Arcade Mode, this time with a new buddy!
Marino (Arcade Mode) is now so cool that he's surrounded by ice storms
Health orbs now heal for 30 % of MaxHP in Arcade Mode (down from 35 %)
Yetis can now spawn on the Winterland floors in Arcade Mode
The bombs spit out by Presents now explode quicker on difficulties lower than Hard
Winter now has a significantly longer opening after doing his Ice Maze on higher difficulties
The winds before Winter's ice maze have had their timings changed
Pets now fade out at the start of cutscenes
The flat portion of DEF is now capped at mitigating 25 % extra damage (% mitigation works as before)

Bug Fixes
Winter's winds should no longer randomly disappear for clients
Exiting the game with Alt+F4 as a Client no longer makes you inherit the world of the Server
The Summer Hydra in one of the Season Challenges no longer abides by the 'one breath per headbutt'-rule
It's now possible to connect to a password protected Arcade Mode game via Steam invites
Clients should no longer risk becoming stranded by malicious season changing shenanigans in one of the puzzle rooms
There are no longer any safe spots from the Season Hydras' headbutts in their battle room
The Spirit Slash range indicator now has a higher render order, preventing it from being rendered beneath some background graphics
A small visual bug regarding the window in the Toy Factory Arcade Mode bug has been fixed
Hit invincibility should now trigger properly during spell cast animations
Tracking weapon recipes no longer causes the text to overflow
The battle room northeast of the Temple of Season lobby no longer spawn a billion enemies on Hard
You no longer spawn out of bounds if you enter Evergrind East from Pillar Mountains too far to the right

Next patch: For 0.599g, the main focus will be on more Steam implementation, namely achievements and leaderboards for Arcade Mode.

178: Gold Charges & Interface Upgrades

As mentioned last week, we’re working full speed on getting the final charges up and running! While we’re not ready to patch them into the game yet, here’s a preview of three of them in action:

The Summon Plant gold charge introduces a new type of plant to the bunch. Instead of attacking, it’ll give bonuses to the plants you’ve already summoned (and will be summoned with a number of minion-plants of its own).

You can only have one of these plants active at the same time, so if you summon it again it’ll move to your new location. However, it’ll bring any plants surrounding it along with it, so it’s perfect for moving plant traps to new strategic places!

Piercing Dash, meanwhile, has become both faster and longer, allowing you to dash through enemies and deal damage to them after passing through! For the more advanced players it might also be good to know that this level of Dash is now cancel-able, and canceling mid-dash will allow your next skill to become instantly gold charged.

Finally, the Blade Flurry gold charge increases the number of hits and has a 3-hit finisher that deals additional damage!

Now, while the boys have been busy with the skills, Vilya has kept working on improvements for the menu. Here’s the improved Equipment tab:

As you can see, we’re finally introducing style slots for weapons and shields! This is something that has been requested a lot, and since we’re reworking this menu anyway we thought we might as well squeeze it in. As we’d like the Steam Early Access release to happen sooner rather than later, though, we’re not 100% sure the style slots will be implemented before the EA release, but it’s definitely coming soon after, at the very least.

We’re also reworking the Character tab:

Gone is the boring super brown text-only tab, and instead we have a more colorful and actually ID-looking tab for your collector. The Birthday and Starsign will be randomly generated, as will your Collector ID number. Also, the stats you see here are temporary: we’re replacing a few and removing others. Since this isn’t actually implemented yet, there may be small changes here and there, but the overall look should remain.

Next week, Vilya will finally return to doing stuff for the next temple, while Teddy & Fred soldier on with more gold charges!

Patch 0.599i - Let Imbalance Begin!

Summary: SKILLS! Another way to summarize this patch would be SIGNIFICANT CHANGES.

I don't think there's been a single patch that's been so full of stuff that could potentially break the game, both balance wise and software wise! On the plus side, there's plenty of pretty cool stuff in there!

So, yeah, every non-support spell has gotten a Gold Charge. A few spells have also been reworked to different extents (see notes). Wind Slash has been replaced by Static Touch. Shadow Clone has been nerfed. Whirlslash has been nerfed a little bit as well. All charged up version of spells have been buffed, both directly and indirectly. Every charge level brings some bonus Armor Penetration, and we've also increased the movement speed while charging, which is a buff to the entire concept.

Note: The graphics are not final for a lot of these things. The Static Touch cubes is currently missing a lot of different colors, has some missing or unpolished animations, etc. Same goes for a number of other spells, so until I've removed this notice, only severe visual bugs should be reported!

Don't forget the /respec command, people! There's a time for having a genuine experience and paying for those skill points, but this ain't that time!

A little weird detail I'm adding for the heck of it is the ability to turn on slower diagonal walk speed by typing "/debug Diagonal" in the chat. This makes the diagonal movement of the character more mathematically correct. I'm curious to hear how people feel about that! It's still not entirely right, since the perspective should make characters move considerably slower along the Y axis, but... let's not go there!

@Own, if you have time to check out the Gun-D4m fight to see if my changes had any effect, please report back here so I know if it worked!

Translators! Every detailed spell description for the updated spells (SpellBasic, SpellC1, etc) has been changed to become more generic (and to reflect new properties). This is good news for everyone, since you won't have to update the translation if we change the EP cost or duration of something! I haven't flagged these entries, however, since that makes the tools delete your old text and that might not be desirable. I'll change that for you after the Steam Early Access release!

Lab time! By typing /debug Diagonal in the chat, you can try out slower diagonal walk speed - see forum patch notes for info on why
All cards from Seasonne and Temple of Seasons now have working effects!
You can now open the gift boxes dropped by the Gift enemies
Prototype gold charges have been added to all spells
The air spell Static Touch has been added to the game (replacing Wind Slash)

Changes
Increased damage on GUN-D4M's blue shots - now comparable to the other types of bullets
The Frostling Boots have been removed from the Arcade Mode drop pool and instead added to the shops
Chain Lightning's damage reduction per bounce has been reduced to 20 %, down from 30 %
Chain Lightning can now bounce back to the player if lacking enemies to bounce at
Flame Thrower's silver charge can now be canceled out of by attacking
Shadow Clone has been reworked to block out less EP, and deal less damage but having a chance to proc debuffs
Summon Plant's silver charge is now a ranged minion (and very cute)
Frosty Friend now has a bunch of player commands that unlock with charge level
Frosty Friend's HP now partly scales with player level
Frosty Friend will now automatically resurrect after a while if dead - this goes faster if player helps
Movement speed while charging has been increased to 40 % (up from 20 %)
The number of character slots has mysteriously been increased to 9
The air spell Wind Slash has been removed from the game
Whirlslash has had its damage slightly reduced on silver charge
The Dodging Strike attack animation is now attack and spell cancelable
If you get a Perfect Dodge when using Dodging Strike, the next spell or skill used (within 1 second) will auto charge to the same level

Bug Fixes
GUN-D4M, Phaseman and the Arcade Bullet Machine's bullet hells have all been optimized a bit
The bosses on the later Arcade Mode floors should no longer be impossible to obtain S rank for
Fixed a rare crash while talking to the shopkeeper on the highest floor in Arcade Mode
Leveling only a talent before seeing the quicklevel box for the first time no longer crashes the game
Getting knocked out of the Smash animation will no longer leave behind an eternal hitbox of death
Naniva no longer start talking when you level up, despite not having her along anymore
The Fishing Gods now lets you fish again from the same spot even if you failed or cancelled your previous attempt
Fixed a typo in the Small Clock description
The reticle for targeted spells should no longer have trouble traversing certain areas
The Living Puzzle Block should no longer be able to jump out of bounds
It's now possible to push the Living Puzzle Block after its defeat even if it died airborne
A cutscene can no longer be interrupted by a Game Over, resulting in missed story content
The Multitasking talent no longer needs points on Shield Bearer to become active (oops!)
You can no longer use the Prismatic talent to reduce the cost of Shadow Clone

Next Patch: I'll patch 0.599i at least one more time, to update the visuals. I'll also be throwing in much of Vilya's menu reworks (sadly not the equipment part) before 0.600a. In reality, we'll probably have a number of i-iterations due to bugs :D

Ideally, I want a week of stability before publishing the game on Steam Early Access.

#320 #321 El juego sigue actualizandose, poco a poco, pero en la pagina oficial siguen poniendo avances como al principio.

El juego es 10/10. El problema es que actualizan muy muy lento la verdad. Si alguien esta dudando yo demoemnto le diria que no comprara pero en cuanto salga o este de oferta que se lo pille sin dudarlo.

Voy por la 3 dungeon (acabo de llegar a la mina), no me queda mucho por jugar no? Una pena que no esté terminado porque la experiencia es buenísima

#325 Mira el ritmo a que van... El psot es de 2012 y no habia nada mas que la primera mazmorra xD

Vamos ya lo he dicho 50 veces: juegazo pero de duracion cortisima. Tambien se supone que tenian que meter cosas de PvP o algo asi en la arena, mejorar el arcade mode y mil cosas mas. Supongo que todo eso no esta aun no?

#326 en su web tienen un diario y a ver, currar se ve que curran, pero les falta ambición, con el pedazo de juego que se han marcado es una pena que lo vayan a terminar en 2020, porque el juego completo vendería como churros

Siento resucitar este hilo pero alguien lo está jugando? >.<

Acabo de jugar a la demo y me he enamorado, además que no sé si antes la había pero han puesto en la workshop las traduciones en varios idiomas. Es una pasada, no sé compo desconocía dicho juego >.< una pena que siga en desarrollo, no sé a día de hoy hasta que punto se puede llegar, por pillarmelo o no. O esperarme a rebajas

#328 El juego se sigue actualizando y cada semana siguen poniendo noticias de los proximos parches y futuro contenido para historia y demas, es una buena compra ahora mismo si te gusta este genero.

Resucitó el hilo para preguntar si el juego esta acabado. Lo tengo en favoritos porque hace un tiempo que lo tengo en deseados pero nunca esta de oferta el muy cab...
El caso es que no pone nada de early pero os leo y quisiera saber si tiene Bugs o le faltan cosas
