Overclocking AMD Athlon XP 2200+ ?

Hola muy buenas a todos, soy nuevo en este foro y hace un mes recibi este ordenador de un amigo mio que lo iba a tirar y antes de que lo tirara me lo dió, mw gustaria saber si puedo hacerle overcloking y si me lo recomendais, aqui os pongo un informe del everest:

Sinceramente, no creo que te valga la pena arriesgar el micro por hacerle OC. Si lo que ocurre es que te va muy lento, lo más seguro es que, más que el procesador, tenga que ver el hecho de que, por lo que veo en ese informe, solo tengas 256MB de RAM.

Lo suyo sería ver si pudieses conseguir por ahí un modulito de 512MB (si es de 1GB, por supuesto mejor) para añadirle a esos que tienes y con 768MB ya podrías hacer correr el WinXP con bastante suficiencia. Nuevas tienes módulos de 1GB DDR400 por 20€, pero claro, es invertir en algo que, por ejemplo, puede tener algún condensador de la placa apunto de irse a la mierda, y el módulo que te compres no te va a servir para nada más.

No te va a merecer la pena, lo poco que lo puedas overclockear ni lo vas a notar con el uso que se le podria dar a ese equipo hoy en dia.

Mi recomendacion es que mas que overclockear le metas una distro de linux ligera como por ejemplo Puppy Linux, Lubuntu etc

#1 Coincido con #2, a ese equipo el mayor partido que le puedes sacar es ampliandole la memoria si encuentras algun modulo barato por ahí. Aún así rascará bastante pero podrás navegar y hacer alguna pijadilla con él.

No si lento no es que me vaya, le he conseguido que vaya tirando xp, y si probe con ubuntu (en mi caso lubuntu) y otras distros de linux pero el windows se vuelve corrupto el arranque, y era mi pregunta si me mereceria la pena gracias por la aclaracion.
