Os cuento,
oy e ido a comprar OCZ Ultra 2 basada en el mitico shin etzu.
hace poco, salio el artic silver 5, y bien, pues he abierto un thread-poll (thread con encuesta) en una web canadiense (www.3dgameman.com) y me dicen k es mejor el artic silver 5.

pero como no, siempre es mejor una segunda opinion.

a mi la artic silver 5 me motiva un rato eso del 99% de plata... tela! no he tenido la suerte de probarla, y ante la duda, quedate con la OCZ q seguro q te va a dar unos resultados cojonudos, total... de una a otra no puede haber gran difenrencia y no te arriegas a tener problemas

Me kedaría con la Artic Silver 5, ke tiene un 88% del peso en plata, mientras ke en la OCZ es el 70%. De todas formas ambas son excelentes pastas térmicas

segun coolmod:

Artic Silver saca un nuevo componente térmico, de el diremos que es una nueva y revolucionaria formula con un 99.9% de pura Plata.
Esta nueva versión del Artic Silver, rompe con todo lo anterior. Compuesta de Plata micronizada y mezclada con partículas cerámicas termales. Además también contiene óxido sub-micronizado de Cinc, óxido de aluminio y partículas de nitruro del boro, consiguiendo con esto una mejor conductividad con el tiempo.

La nueva Artic Silver 5 no es conductora de la electricidad.

Temperatura Límite: -45°C a 180°C
Tamaño de partícula: 0,49 micrones o lo que es lo mismo < 0,00002 pulgadas
Cantidad: 3.5 Gramos.

Nota: En algunos casos podr bajar de 1 a 7 grados, en casos en los que la base del disipador o bloque de agua este muy dañada, se pueden ver mayores bajadas de temperatura, ya los compuestos térmicos estan para rellenar poros, daños, etc y asi ayudar a contactar mejor con el nucleo del procesador.

pues yo tengo el Artic silver 3 ^_y me va de perlas. note una bajada importante de temeratura cuando kite la pasta de dientes anterior y puse esta pasta termica

chris lo del 99 fue un error, kise poner 88 se me fue el dedo... no me referia a la proporcion, si no a lo del peso q luego dijo deko

os pongo algunos comentarios k man echo alli:
-As far as thermal paste goes...Arctic Silver is the name to beat when it comes to recognition, sustained quality generation after generation and ease of application, will Shin Etsu beat it...yes, but it is much harder to apply and harder to locate, and more often, more expensive too.

Arctic Silver just seems to offer the best overall value of any of the lines of thermal compound out there to date. Just because OCZ doesn't quite match up in every department, or even if it might get 1 degree better or whatever is irrelevant, the sustained performance and everything is still in Arctic Silver's favor. It doesn't make OCZ's paste or anything bad, not at all, because they are all close...it is just personal preference, and well, OCZ still doesn't have the best name in the industry after some past scandal, at least not in my eyes.

-people all voted for AS5 because artic silver is a big brand that everyone knows of and is a compound that is known for its excellent performance. Both compounds should perform about the same (i.e EXTREMELY well), but AS5 is just the newest thing from the most well known maker of high performance thermal greace.

-Like Arctic Silver III, OCZ Ultra II consists of a non-silicone blend of polysynthetic oils with a blend of micronized silver. The benefits will be the same as the aforementioned AS3. And while OCZ states that their compound is also not electrically conductive, I would still recommend the same precautions regarding this compound coming into contact with your processor bridges.

Shin Etsu has become well established due to their G-751 paste, providing even lower temperatures in some reviews than AS3. Arctic Silver now answers the challenge by launching a new revision of their Arctic Silver; Arctic Silver 5.
